This project is finished.
GradeMyBiz graded business websites. You pasted a URL and got a letter grade from A+ to F across seven categories, with a specific reason behind every finding. It is no longer accepting audits.
What it did
Most website feedback is vague. GradeMyBiz was an attempt at the opposite: a grade you could argue with, because every point it took away came attached to the reason it took it.
The free grade covered seven categories - design and UX, content quality, SEO foundations, performance, mobile, security and trust, and accessibility. A paid report added a full category breakdown and a prioritized list of fixes. Performance and mobile were measured with Google PageSpeed Insights. Accessibility was measured with axe-core in a real browser. The written analysis came from a two-stage AI pipeline that had to justify each claim against evidence actually collected from the page, rather than describing what a site like that usually does wrong.
It graded honestly
Across its life it graded 33 different domains, including large and well-known ones. Not one audit ever earned an A+. The most common result was a B minus. That distribution was the point - a grading tool that hands out trophies is not measuring anything.

53 graded audits across 33 domains, grouped by letter. Includes audits of this project's own site during development.
What it looked like
Why it stopped
It was built as a self-study project: a way to design, ship, secure and operate a real product end to end instead of reading about doing so. That goal was met. Turning it into a business people pay for is a different project needing time and attention I would rather spend elsewhere, so it is being shelved rather than half-run.
Built with Next.js, Supabase, Stripe, Claude, Firecrawl and Playwright. The site you are reading is a single static page. Nothing here collects any information about you.
